The function of the air filter:
1. During the operation of the engine, a large amount of air needs to be sucked in. If the air is not filtered, the suspended dust in the air will be sucked into the cylinder, which will accelerate the wear of the piston group and cylinder;
2. Large particles entering between the piston and cylinder can cause serious cylinder pulling, especially in dry and dusty working environments;
3. The air filter is installed in front of the carburetor or intake pipe to filter out air dust and sand particles, ensuring that a sufficient amount of clean air enters the cylinder.
1. The installation position of the air filter should avoid high concentration areas of dust as much as possible, in order to reduce the working load of the air filter and reduce maintenance times
2. Before the final assembly and test run of the wet air filter, an appropriate amount of engine oil should be added as required. When using the filter, it is necessary to regularly check whether the oil level in the oil pool reaches the calibrated mark
3. When maintaining a dry air filter, take out the filter element and lightly tap the end face to remove dust. At the same time, use a brush to lightly brush the contaminated surface
When disassembling and assembling the sealing gasket inside the air filter, attention should be paid to whether it is in good condition and maintain sealing. If the sealing surface of the air filter is damaged, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner
5. If the engine power is insufficient, fuel consumption significantly increases, or the exhaust emits black smoke, the air filter should be checked first for blockage
