People who are not familiar with automotive parts may not be familiar with oil filters, nor are they clear about what they are used for. In fact, they are similar to air conditioning filters, fuel filters, and air filters. They all serve as filters for various components of the engine, improving their service life.
Oil filter, mainly acts on the lubrication system of the engine, filtering out various impurities, dust, and moisture in the oil, ensuring the cleanliness of the oil and extending the service life of the engine. At the same time, the oil filter is also used to ensure good sealing and smooth lubrication system oil circuits.
Key points for replacing the oil filter:
1. Before installing the full flow and bypass oil filters, carefully inspect the filter housing for any signs of compression and damage to the sealing gasket
2. Afterwards, add the specified grade of engine oil to the filter, saturate the filter element to make it in working condition, and apply a small amount of engine oil or butter to the rubber pads of the two filters, and then screw them onto the oil filter seat
3. After allowing the filter that has been partially filled with oil to stand for 5 minutes, add oil again to the filter multiple times until it is confirmed that all the air has been discharged and the filter is filled with oil
