Warm up the engine: It is best to change the oil immediately after driving a certain mileage. If this is not possible, the vehicle should also be started for a few minutes before and after the oil change to ensure that the lubricating oil circulates evenly inside the engine, facilitating the removal of various deposits together.
Oil drain: Open the oil drain port located on the engine chassis and put all the oil into a prepared container (as shown in the above figure). At this time, the oil is hot, so be careful not to get burned. After completion, do not immediately close the oil drain. Leave it empty for an appropriate period of time to ensure that the residual oil in the engine completely flows out. Another way to drain oil is to use a machine to pump out the old oil (as shown in the figure below), which has the advantage of being able to drain the remaining waste oil more cleanly.
Using a machine to extract engine oil: Use a machine to extract engine oil and observe the condition of the oil flowing out. If there is a odor, very viscous, or delamination, the oil change interval should be shortened. If there is a strong fuel odor, it indicates that the engine combustion chamber is not well sealed, and maintenance is recommended.
Changing the oil filter: Close the drain bolt of the replaced oil filter and replace the engine oil filter. The function of the machine filter is to filter various impurities in the engine oil to prevent impurities from causing wear on the engine. If the machine filter is not replaced for a long time, it will partially block the machine filter due to dirt, and pollutants will directly flow into the engine, exacerbating the wear of the components; If you only change the oil without changing the filter, the contaminated oil remaining in the old filter will re-enter the oil for circulation. Therefore, you should replace the filter every time you change the oil.
Adding new engine oil: Clean the dust around the oil filler on the top of the engine, open the oil filler, fill in fresh engine oil, and then let the engine run at a rapid speed for about 3 minutes. Then add the engine oil to the upper limit of the oil dipstick, close the oil filler, start the engine, idle for a few minutes, and shut down the engine.
Check the oil level: Check the dipstick and add oil appropriately to the upper limit of the dipstick. Close the oil filler and end the oil change.
