The hazards of not changing the fuel filter are as follows:
1. If the gasoline filter element is not changed for a long time, it will be contaminated and may be blocked, resulting in lower fuel supply pressure, insufficient fuel supply, lower engine power, difficulty in starting, idling jitter, and weak acceleration;
2. The blockage of the gasoline filter element will also cause poor fuel atomization, resulting in imbalance of the mixture ratio, insufficient combustion, and carbon deposition;
3. Carbon deposits will aggravate the clogging of the three-way catalytic converter, pollute the spark plug and the front oxygen sensor, and cause excessive emissions and other failures.
The fuel filter is generally replaced once every 20,000 kilometers, and the replacement method is as follows:
1. Release the pressure in the fuel filter system to ensure that the oil will not spray out during the disassembly process;
2. Remove the old fuel filter from the base. And clean the mounting surface of the base;
3. Fill the new fuel filter with fuel;
4. Apply some engine oil on the surface of the new fuel filter sealing ring to ensure the seal;
5. Install the new fuel filter on the base. When the sealing ring fits on the base, tighten 3-4 turns.
