Oil filter leakage can be solved by replacing the sealing ring. The oil filter generally uses a sealing rubber ring to ensure its tightness. If the sealing rubber ring is defective or damaged after being used for a long time, oil leakage will occur. If the oil filter leaks for too long and is not found, it will cause serious consequences. The following are the steps to replace the sealing ring:
1. Remove the antifreeze pot first, remove the cover, and use a sleeve to remove the fixing screws;
2. Unplug the plug, and then remove the fan on the left side of the car, using the same sleeve. There are a total of four fixing screws. The position of the screws below is a bit difficult and needs to be removed slowly;
3. After connecting, you can use a sleeve to connect the extension rod to remove the oil filter base. The three fixing screws can be completely removed. The base will fall when you pull it. You can replace the old sealing ring with a flat-head screwdriver.
The reasons for oil filter element leakage are as follows:
1. You can go to the 4S shop to change the oil seal to try. The rubber ring on the oil grid is the one that guarantees the seal. The main cause of oil leakage in the oil grid is the defect of sealing;
2. If there is foreign matter on the contact surface between the base and the rubber ring during installation, it will be cleaned up and the rubber ring will be damaged; or excessive knob deformation during installation will affect the sealing performance;
3. It is recommended that car owners should pay more attention to the fuel gauge and maintain their car regularly if they find an oil leak.
