When lubricating the engine, the oil must pass through the oil filter before reaching the lubrication part. Engine oil containing more mechanical impurities will cause abnormal wear of the engine's moving parts. In severe cases, the impurities in the engine oil will even block the oil passage without being filtered by the oil filter, resulting in mechanical failure. Therefore, the performance of the oil filter directly affects the lubrication effect of the oil on the engine.

We must replace a qualified full-flow oil filter every time we change the oil——Paper filter element filter. The filtration performance of the paper filter element will decrease after a long time of use, and the pressure of the oil passing through the filter will be greatly reduced. Although the oil pressure drops to a certain level, the filter bypass valve will open and the oil will enter the oil circuit through the bypass to prevent insufficient oil pressure. But at this time, the oil entering the oil circuit is not filtered by the filter, and the contaminants enter the oil circuit, increasing the wear of the mechanical parts.

Replace the oil filter with good quality in time, the impurities and polluting particles in the oil will be filtered out through the filter. In this way, the oil entering the oil circuit is very clean, which can effectively prevent the abrasion of the engine parts by the particles.

In addition, if only the new oil is replaced without replacing the oil filter, the old oil and 1/4 of the pollutants in the old filter will re-enter the oil circulation, which not only increases the chance of wear, but also reduces Improve the performance of the new engine oil.

If the oil filter is not regularly replaced as required or the inferior oil filter is replaced, the engine will not work well for the lighter, and it will be difficult to start, and the piston ring will be stuck in the serious, causing severe engine wear and even returning to the factory for overhaul. 

Replacement of oil filter

At a professional car repair station, first drive the car into the repair parking space and use a lift to raise the car to a height of 160-170cm. Use the special oil filter wrench to turn counterclockwise to remove the oil filter. Then take out the new oil filter from the packing box, and check the threads and rubber seals on the new filter, clean the mounting seat on the cylinder block and then coat the rubber seal of the filter with a small amount of lubricant.

Install the oil filter by hand, and then tighten the oil filter clockwise with a special tool after it is fixed. After installation, fill the engine with oil to the specified liquid level, run the engine for at least 3 minutes, and then check whether the oil leaks.
