Diesel filter system according to the different density of water and fuel, through the fluid flow control technology (gravity sedimentation principle), to separate the water to filter the effect of water. The water removal method of diesel filter system is mainly precipitation in the mechanical fuel system, and there are separation components such as diffusion cone and filter screen inside the diesel precipitator.

For more than three emission requirements, diesel engines mostly use high-pressure common rail fuel systems, and filter paper is used for water removal.
The oil-water separator has other functions, such as pre-heating the fuel to prevent wax formation, filtering impurities and so on.

The working principle of diesel filter
The working principle of the diesel filter is similar to that of the oil filter, except that the diesel filter has no bypass valve and check valve. Automotive diesel filter with oil-water separation function, the main role is to remove the water in diesel, in order to reduce the nozzle failure, extend the service life of the engine.

Diesel filter standard main indicators:
The original filtration efficiency of the rotary fuel filter is ≥90%, which can filter out more than 5um particles; Water separation efficiency ≥90% (our PL420 is 93.3%);
Rotary filter should be sealed test, under the pressure of 0.40MPa, the time is not less than 1min, the sealing parts and sealing parts are not allowed to leak oil.
