The oil filter is installed on the engine oil circuit to filter and clean the oil. The oil filter used now is usually two kinds: one is the assembly type and we say the filter assembly, its structure is generally interwoven inside the steel wire filter, and the external iron shell is combined together. The model or part number is printed on the iron housing and should be replaced as a whole. The other is the split filter element type, which is a metal material protection and installation shell (usually there are two kinds of iron and aluminum), and the interior is a filter element (usually there are three kinds of felt, paper and wire materials). The shell and the inside filter element are separated, and only the inside filter element can be replaced when replacing.
Oil filter replacement cycle
When the oil filter filters the oil, all kinds of impurities and dirt are left in the filter, and with the accumulation of various impurities and dirt, it needs to be replaced for a long time. The oil filter is always replaced at the same time as the oil. Generally replace the oil filter according to the manufacturer's recommended replacement cycle. If there is no recommended time, you can refer to a similar engine oil filter replacement cycle. The oil filter replacement cycle of general vehicles is replaced once per line of 10,000-15,000 kilometers. Vehicles working in the field environment are recommended to be replaced every 5,000 kilometers or 150 hours. Working in a particularly harsh dusty environment, you can consider shortening the replacement cycle appropriately.
