According to data, over 90% of fuel injector malfunctions are caused by unclean fuel. Therefore, fuel filters play a very important role in extending the service life of fuel system components. There are three types of fuel filters: diesel filters, gasoline filters, and natural gas filters. Its function is to filter out harmful particles and moisture in the engine fuel system, remove solid impurities such as iron oxide and dust contained in the fuel, to protect the fuel pump nozzle, cylinder liner, piston ring, etc., and prevent fuel system blockage, especially the fuel injector. Reduce mechanical wear, ensure stable engine operation, and improve operational reliability.
Correct replacement of diesel filters
When assembling the fuel filter, a sealing gasket must be installed on both sections of the filter element. If the sealing rubber rings are not installed everywhere, the oil circuit inside the fuel filter will be short circuited, and the filtering effect will be lost. When replacing the fuel filter, unscrew the old fuel filter and discard it together with the fuel inside. Do not pour the fuel from the old fuel filter into the new fuel filter because the remaining fuel in the old fuel filter contains many filtered impurities. Pouring it into the clean chamber of the new fuel filter will exacerbate the wear of the fuel injection pump and injector.
