The filter installed in the fuel pipeline is an external filter; The filter installed inside the fuel pump and fuel tank is an internal filter. Maintenance precautions for fuel filters
1. Loosen the clamping device between the oil circuit and fuel filter, remove the fuel filter, and plug the oil circuit with a plug to prevent fuel overflow during filter replacement operation.
The fuel filter is marked with arrows indicating the flow of fuel in and out (the direction of fuel flow when passing through the fuel filter). When installing the fuel filter, it is necessary to follow the arrow direction of the filter and do not install it upside down.
2. The clamping device used in the oil circuit is used to fix the rubber hose and fuel filter to achieve a sealing effect. When replacing the filter, ensure that the clamping device is installed in the correct position and clamp the hose and filter joint according to the specified specifications.
3. Imported fuel filters are generally equipped with a pipa shaped joint component used to connect the fuel filter and the oil circuit. Every time this type of fuel filter is maintained, the sealing gasket should be replaced in a timely manner and cannot be reused to prevent fuel leakage.
When maintaining a car, if the fuel system does not require maintenance and an internal filter is installed, there is no need to replace the oil pump, filter, etc., otherwise the cost will be too high. Unless the engine performance is significantly abnormal, then it is necessary to inspect and replace the internal filter.
5. After the maintenance operation of the fuel filter is completed, all its components need to be assembled, and the fuel pump fuse needs to be installed. When the ignition system is not working, rotate the engine several times until normal fuel pressure is established.
