The diesel engine air filter acts on the intake system of the diesel engine, filtering the air entering the diesel engine to ensure stable operation and improve its service life.
Common problems with diesel engine air filters
There is a problem with the air filter of the diesel engine. Firstly, the air filter is not maintained in a timely manner, resulting in blockage of the air filter and affecting the normal operation of the diesel engine. The second issue is that there are problems during the installation of the diesel engine air filter, leading to issues such as reverse or missing installation of the filter, resulting in poor sealing and air leakage, which affects the filtration of the diesel engine air filter.
Diesel engine air filter maintenance
1. Strictly follow the maintenance cycle of diesel engine filters and replace the air filters. Generally, the filter needs to be cleaned and maintained after every 100 hours of operation. If the cumulative working time exceeds 500 hours, the filter needs to be replaced in a timely manner. For areas with high levels of sand and dust, the cleaning and replacement cycle of filters needs to be shortened accordingly.
2. For damaged air filters, they need to be replaced in a timely manner.
3. For the maintenance of oil bath air filters, it is generally necessary to clean the filter element and change the oil at the same time every 200 hours of operation. When the filter has been operating for more than 1000 hours or if any damage is found to the filter element, it is necessary to immediately replace the air filter.
