The diesel filter mainly consists of hand oil pump (filter seat), filter components, water level sensor, temperature sensor, heater, sealing ring, pipe joint and other components, among which the core component of the filter is the filter element.
Purification principle of diesel filter element
1. Screening effect
The filter screening effect refers to the interception of impurity particles with a particle size on the surface by the porous body when the fluid passes through the porous body, while particles with a particle size smaller than the porous body pass through the porous body with the fluid. The screening effect is the fundamental principle of filters. General metal wire mesh filter materials and surface filters are filtered according to the screening effect. Due to the fact that the aperture of the filter material and the diameter of impurity particles are not circular, they are both equivalent aperture and equivalent particle size. Therefore, the particle size it intercepts is much smaller than the pore size of the filter material.
2. Brownian motion
Filter Brownian motion: Impurities and particles in the fluid undergo irregular Brownian motion at all times. When they move to the pore wall of a porous body, they are stuck in a small area on the pore wall and subsequently filtered out by the porous body.
3. Using filter materials to separate the special effects of the medium
When oil flow with small water droplets enters the filter material, due to the affinity of the filter material to oil, the oil flow smoothly passes through the micropores of the filter material; Due to the distance performance of the filter material towards water, small water droplets cannot pass smoothly.
Due to the wetting effect of small water droplets on the fluff of the filter material, they stay on the fluff of the filter material, and the intercepted small water droplets gradually form large water droplets. Under the action of oil pressure, water droplets are pressed towards the wedge-shaped path of the filter element, forming larger water droplets. Under the action of oil pressure, water droplets pass through the filter material and settle downwards, falling into the water collecting cup, completing the filtering efficiency of the filter.
Currently, the most widely used method is to separate water from fuel. The better the hydrophobicity of the filter material, the better the water separation effect of the filter.
