The diesel filter is used to filter out harmful impurities and moisture in the fuel system, protect the normal operation of the engine, reduce component wear, avoid blockage, and improve the service life of the engine.
1. When maintaining the diesel filter, if the upper and lower sealing rubber gaskets and oil cover of the filter element are lost, and the diesel fuel is not filtered through the filter element, but flows into the inner cavity of the filter element through the gap between the filter element and the filter cover, the diesel filter will lose its filtering and purification function
2. The position of the diesel filter tray and spring should not be reversed, otherwise the inlet and outlet holes on the diesel filter cover are open, causing the diesel to enter the fuel injection pump unfiltered directly
3. Sometimes when maintaining a diesel filter, after disassembling the filter, it is found that its interior and filter element are particularly clean, without any impurities or moisture, indicating that the diesel used is considered very clean. Due to the loose material and large micropores of the filter paper in the filter element, the filter paper has no filtering effect at all. If severe wear is found on the sealing components inside the diesel engine during use, it may be caused by inferior filter elements, and a new filter element needs to be replaced in a timely manner.
