The oil filter of the engine lubrication system is the first level to prevent impurities from entering the lubricating oil circuit. If used and maintained improperly, it can easily cause blockage, intake and filtration failure, exacerbate the wear of the lubrication system friction pair, and even lead to accidents of burning tiles and holding shafts.
1. The quality of the filter screen should be qualified
You should choose copper or iron wire filters with strong texture, rather than soft plastic filters. If the filter screen is too soft, or if the plastic filter screen becomes soft after the machine temperature rises, the circular plug in the center of the filter screen will be adsorbed at the oil inlet hole, reducing the amount of oil entering the oil pump, reducing the oil pressure, and prone to tile burning accidents.
2. The installation of the filter screen should be smooth
When installing the filter, the filter should be level in the oil pan and submerged below the oil level. If the filter is installed with one side tilted up, during the bumpy and uphill driving of motor vehicles, the filter may expose the oil surface, the oil pump absorbs air, the oil pressure fluctuates, and the lubricating oil on the friction surface is insufficient, which is prone to scratching and wear. In addition, the warping of the oil filter can easily cause the large end of the connecting rod to collide with the filter and make a noise.
3. Do not miss the installation of the filter gasket
The filter screen should be intact and undamaged, and the filter screen gasket should not be missed and kept intact. Otherwise, impurities will still enter the lubricating oil circuit, and the oil filter screen will be in a virtual state
4. Hollow bolts should be intact
Hollow bolts should not have slipping, cracks, or other phenomena to prevent air from being sucked in during the operation of the oil pump and forming steam resistance.
5. The sealing gasket should be sealed
The two sealing copper gaskets on the hollow bolt of the filter pipe connection must be intact and kept flat and effectively sealed, and cannot be replaced by iron gaskets. If the gasket is deformed, roughened, or hardened, it should be replaced in a timely manner, or placed on a flat plate and ground flat with fine sandcloth. The hardened copper gasket can also be burned red in the fire and cooled in water to soften it for emergency purposes.
6. The interior of the body should be clean
After the oil in the oil pan is dirty or deteriorates, it should be cleaned and replaced in a timely manner to reduce the filtering resistance of the filter and avoid accidents of burning tiles and holding shafts due to filter blockage.
