Automatic transmission oil filter usually
take the paper filter, felt filter or membrane filter to filter out the dirt in
the oil. Asian car manufacturers like to use membrane filters, but European and
American manufacturers are more inclined to paper, or felted filter.
Automatic
transmission oil filters are often forgotten when preventive maintenance is
performed. In most cases, transmission oil filters are not as easy to replace
as oil filters, air filters, or fuel filters. Unless the filter clogging and it
has affected the normal work of the transmission, or people usually do not
replace the filter in time.
In
fact, because the automatic transmission oil filter is the second largest
assembly to protect the device, it should keep it clean, or in accordance with
the manufacturer's recommended replacement cycle in time replacement.
In daily maintenance, we need to replace
the filter in time to avoid losses due to the lack of timely replacement of the
filter. Some car manufacturer have introduced long-life or maintenance-free
transmissions. These transmissions do not have oil dipstick device and the
replacement cycle of normal maintenance can up to 160,000 km. However, under
the bad driving environment, the filter maintenance and replacement cycle
should be shorten correspondingly, in the general 80,000 km.
