The diesel used in daily engines, even after sedimentation and filtration, can still cause diesel pollution during the refueling process due to factors such as refueling tools and refueling environment. In addition, during the operation of diesel engines, impurities deposited in the fuel system and suspended sediment in the air can also cause diesel pollution. Therefore, automotive diesel filters are essential.
The function of a diesel filter is to remove impurities from the diesel fuel and prevent blockage of the common rail system, especially the fuel injection nozzle. It can effectively reduce wear, ensure stable engine operation, and improve engine reliability.
Types of diesel filters
Diesel filters can be divided into detachable and spin on types according to their installation, and can be further divided into coarse and fine filters according to their purpose.
At present, domestic diesel engines often use paper diesel filters with simple structure, small volume, small quality, good filtration effect, and low cost. The paper filter mainly consists of an aluminum filter, a stamped shell made of steel plate, and a paper filter element. And the filter element mostly uses filter paper, which not only filters mechanical impurities in diesel, but also has an important function of filtering water. The presence of water poses great harm to the fuel supply system of diesel engines, as rust, wear, seizure, and even deterioration of the combustion process of diesel.
