Installation and use of air filter
The use of paper core air filters in modern engines is becoming increasingly common. Compared to oil bath air filters, paper core air filters have the following advantages:
1. The filtration efficiency of the paper core air filter is as high as 99.5%, the oil bath air filter is 98%, and the dust transmission rate is only 0.1% -0.3%
2. The paper core air filter has a compact structure and can be installed in any position without being limited by the layout of the components
3. When maintaining the paper core air filter, it does not consume oil and can save a lot of cotton yarn, felt, and metal materials
4. Paper core air filtration has low quality and cost.

Air filter installation
When installing the air filter, the connection between the filter and the engine intake pipe must be tight and reliable to prevent air leakage. Rubber gaskets must be installed on both ends of the filter element. The wing nut securing the air filter cover should not be tightened too tightly to avoid damaging the paper filter element.
When maintaining the air filter, the paper filter element should not be cleaned in oil, otherwise the paper filter element will fail and may cause flying accidents. Generally, the air filter element should be replaced with a new one during the fourth maintenance. If the filter element experiences problems such as breakage, it should be replaced immediately.
3. When using the air filter, it is necessary to avoid the paper core air filter being soaked by rainwater. Once the paper core absorbs moisture, it will increase the intake resistance and shorten its service life. Additionally, the paper core air filter should not come into contact with oil or fire.
4. Some vehicle engines are equipped with a cyclone air filter, and the plastic cover at the end of the paper filter is a guide cover. The blades on the cover rotate the air, and 80% of the dust is separated by centrifugal force and collected in the dust collection pocket. The dust that reaches the paper filter is 20% of the inhaled dust, with a total filtration efficiency of about 99.7%. So, when maintaining the cyclone air filter, be careful not to miss the nutrient guide cover on the filter element.
