What is a machine filter
The mechanical filter, that is, the oil filter, is located in the engine lubrication system. It is mainly used to remove dirt, metal particles, carbon deposits, soot particles and other impurities in the engine oil, so as to protect the engine. The composition of the engine filter can be divided into two parts, the upstream is the oil pump, and the downstream is the components that need lubrication in the engine. At the same time, oil filter can be divided into full flow type and split flow type. The full flow filter is connected in series between the main oil duct and the oil pump, which can filter out all lubricating oil entering the main oil duct. The shunt cleaner is connected in parallel with the main oil channel and can only filter some of the lubricating oil sent out by the oil pump of the filter.

Function of oil filter element
During the operation of the engine, mechanical impurities such as dust, metal wear, and carbon dust will continuously mix into the engine oil. At the same time, the engine oil will gradually produce gum due to the oxidation of air and combustion exhaust gas. Mechanical impurities and colloids can form oil sludge after mixing, which can easily cause blockage of the oil circuit and accelerate the wear and tear of moving parts. The function of machine filter is to remove harmful impurities from the oil pan, supply pure oil, and play a role in lubrication, cooling, cleaning, and cooling, thereby extending the service life of these components.

In fact, cars not only have oil filter, but also have air filters and gasoline filters, which are collectively called "three filters for cars". They improve the working efficiency of the engine. If the "three filters" are cleaned and maintained in a timely manner, it can fully improve engine performance, reduce engine failure rate, and help extend the service life of the engine. Usually, the air filter needs to be replaced every 20000 kilometers, while the gasoline filter needs to be replaced every 40000 kilometers, according to the manufacturer's maintenance manual.
