If the water separator is not good, the power of the car will be affected by the following:
1. If the fuel water separator is broken, it will cause the engine to accelerate unsteadily or weakly, or emit black smoke and other faults. In serious cases, it will directly damage the engine.
2. The fuel water separator is used together with the dust collector. Its main function is to separate the water and oil in the gas, so it is called fuel water separator. In principle, it is mainly based on the density difference between water and fuel, and uses the gravity sedimentation principle to remove impurities.
3. Due to the fine workmanship of the fuel injector, its price is also relatively high. However, if there is a problem with the fuel water separator, it must be replaced in time.

Maintenance of fuel water separator
(1) Discharge water in time.
During routine maintenance every day, we should check the fuel water separator. If there is too much water in it or it exceeds the warning line, we should drain it in time.
First, after the fuel consumption is complete, the water in the fuel water separator needs to be drained in time. Secondly, after replacing the fuel filter, the water in the fuel water separator should also be drained in time.
Do not forget to fill oil after draining.
After draining the water from the fuel water separator, be sure to perform the priming operation of the priming pump until the fuel pump is filled. Otherwise, it will affect the vehicle start!
(2) Pay attention to the insulation of fuel water separator in cold weather.
Put a thick cotton coat on the fuel water separator. In the north, some users will heat the fuel water separator in order to prevent it from being damaged by freezing, that is, wrap a layer of thermal insulation material.
Select fuel water separator with electric heating function. This can not only prevent the oil/water separator from freezing, but also prevent the diesel oil from waxing.
