How to turn on the oil filter:
1. Step 1: Run the engine to reach working temperature. Then use a jack to jack up the vehicle, pull up the hand brake and squeeze the front wheel with a wooden wedge;
2. Step 2: Place the old oil container under the oil pan, find the oil drain bolt of the oil pan, slowly unscrew the oil bolt, and be careful not to touch the hot oil. Let the oil drip for a while. Check the oil drain bolt, reinstall the oil drain bolt, and be careful not to overtighten the bolt to prevent damage to the oil pan;
3. Step 3: Move the oil container under the oil filter, use the oil filter wrench to loosen the filter element, and unscrew it by hand. If the filter element is still hot, remember to wear gloves. Don't worry about tightening the filter element tightly, it will damage the filter element during the removal process. As long as it does not damage the interface screw for installing the filter element and the parts around the filter element;
4. Step 4: Refer to the user manual to select the appropriate oil filter element;
5. Step 5: Coat the interface gasket of the new filter element with new engine oil. If the filter element is installed in a vertical position, you can pour some new engine oil into the filter element to reduce dry grinding when the engine is started next time. Tighten the filter element by hand, and tighten the filter element according to the instructions, usually after tightening the filter element by hand, then screw in 34 turns;
6. Step 6: Next, put the new engine oil into the oil pan, referring to the introduction of the user manual. A funnel can be used to prevent the oil from being poured on the outside of the engine. Check for leaks in the lower part of the engine. If there is no leak, put down the vehicle, check the oil dipstick, and start the engine. The indicator light on the meter should go out immediately after starting. Finally, turn off the engine and repeatedly check the oil level. Dispose of old oil and filter elements according to local regulations.
