The function of the oil filter is to filter out these mechanical impurities and gums, to keep the lubricating oil clean, and to extend its service life;
2、The oil filter should have strong filtering capacity, low flow resistance, and long service life. Generally, several filter collectors, coarse filters and fine filters with different filtering capabilities are installed in the lubrication system, which are connected in parallel or in series in the main oil passage respectively. The one connected in series with the main oil passage is called a full-flow filter. When the engine is working, all lubricating oil is filtered by the filter; the one connected in parallel with it is called a split-flow filter;
3、Among them, the coarse filter is connected in series in the main oil passage, which is a full flow type, and the fine filter is connected in parallel in the main oil passage, which is a split flow type. Generally, only a filter and a full-flow oil filter are installed on modern car engines. The coarse filter filters out impurities with a particle size of 0.05mm or more in the oil, and the fine filter is used to filter out fine impurities with a particle size of 0.001mm or more.1、When replacing the spin-on oil filter, if there are impurities or scratches on the base, the sealing ring may be damaged due to friction during the installation process. Under the action of oil pressure, oil leakage may not appear immediately, but in long-term use, if the sealing ring continues to be damaged, oil leakage will occur;
2、After removing the spin-on oil filter that needs to be replaced, wipe off the residue on the base of the oil filter with a clean towel, fill the oil filter with oil, apply oil to the sealing ring, install and tighten;
3、During the installation process, it is necessary to prevent the tool metal from squeezing and spinning the oil filter housing to cause deformation or wear. Afterwards, under high temperature and high pressure oil operation, it is easy to burst. Once there is pressure impact, oil leakage will occur.
