The function of Filters

1. Fuel Filter

Fuel filter, also called gas filter,!  The main function  of filter is to filter out impurities in the gasoline. If the fuel filter is too dirty or blocked,it’ll be have bad influence on the engine. For example,it is  difficult to start the car when plus accelerator.what’s worse, it may need to take about2-5 times when starting it.

2. Air filter

Air filter, called gas filter, the main role is to purify the air that entering the engine. Usually it is composed by the housing and the element.

   If the air filter is dirty, the intake resistance will be increased, when it increases to a certain extent, the engine will lack motivation because it could not get enough air supply. If the air filter is damaged, the air of dust and sand will enter the engine, accelerated the wear of engine, reducing engine’s life.

Filter authenticity of identification method

1. Fuel filter

Identify genuine fuel filter, one using the hand weigh ,the weight of the fake and the real thing is different. Poor quality fuel filter, filter material is different from the real one. Also look at the appearance, poor fuel filter seal the border is very rough, can be seen with the naked eye. And good quality filter is very nice in the sealing the border, and the material, luster is also different.

2. Air filter      

Air filtration identification method is the same, the first thing is to look at the size of the filter element. When buying a new element, you need the original car filter element for comparison. Also, pay attention to the air filter material, in normal circumstances, the genuine air filter paper color is the same as filter element , low-quality filter is not.

Filter Maintenance

1.The fuel filter maintenance

Most engines are filled with a disposable paper filter that can not be taken off of the fuel filter, the maintenance of fuel filter needs timely replacement. Replacement cycle is generally 10,000 km, if the gasoline impurities is little, that can be replaced every 15000-20000 km. Please Note that when install the filter ,you need to view the arrow mark in the port filter, can’t upside down filter.

2. Air filter maintenance

Air filter maintenance can be divided into cleaning and replacement.   Uaually, we should clean and maintain the air filter after driving 7500-8000km . But under the bad condition, filter maintenance interval should be shortened accordingly.
