1. Fuel filter replacement
The replacement intervals specified by the change in the performance of the fuel filter depends on the type of fuel filter used. Fuel tank outside the fuel filter, generally every 48-96km maintenance time. Fuel tank inside the fuel tank, usually from maintenance. When replacing the fuel filter, it should be operated on a cold engine to avoid igniting the fuel in a hot exhaust manifold.
2. Oil and
tubing maintenance
If the car is equipped with an external fuel filter, in the filter maintenance,
it needs to check the external fuel filter connected with the tubing and oil
and to observe whether the appearance damaged or not. If yes, it must be
replaced in time. Many of the new fuel filters are equipped with two new rubber
tubing, which are connected to both ends of the fuel filter and then into the
oil path. After using the new rubber tubing, the old tubing should be
discarded. Unscrew the clamping device and remove the oil path, while blocking
the oil path to prevent fuel spill.
Most of the fuel filters installed in the oil path have access and exit arrows to show the flow direction of the fuel through the fuel filter, which is directed to the engine. The clamping device used in the oil path is a special type, its design performance fully meets the sealing tubing and fuel filter connector requirements.
3. Fuel filter joint maintenance
Many imported cars on the fuel filter are used on the ring connector. For such
a ring joint assembly, the gasket is not allowed to re-use. You must replace
the gasket to prevent fuel leakage when we tighten the junction,. If used without
care, it will cause the thread wrong buckle or screwed too tight.
If the car is equipped with no fuel refueling system and a fuel filter built into the tank, taking the cost into consideration, even if the car regular preventive maintenance interval is longer, it is impossible to completely replace fuel pump, fuel filter replaced. However, if there is abnormal engine performance, or fuel system fuel pressure at a critical value, need to check and replace the fuel filter placed in the tank.
4. Fuel filter and oil path inspection
After reassembling everything, reinstall the fuel pump fuse and turn the engine a few minutes while the ignition system is not in operation until the fuel pressure is established. Check the fuel filter and oil path to ensure that there is no fuel leak. If everything is fine, start the engine and run for a few minutes, then check again to see if there is a leak.
