Analysis of common faults of centrifugal oil filter

Low-speed or no rotation of the rotor

1. Nozzle hole blocked. Most of the blockage is cotton yarn end, glial particles or metal powder and other debris. Compressed air blowing through the nozzle hole, or with bamboo litters excised, then clean the nozzle hole.


2. Bearing resistance is too large. The most common reason is that the fiber or other foreign body into the bearing, resulting in the surface of the bearing or stagnation of the bearing surface, resulting in increased rotor resistance. After cleaning the bearings, the surface of the burr is polished and smoothed with fine sand paper, and the rotor can be restored to normal after operation.

3.  The inner chamber of the rotor has poor sealing performance. If the rotor bearing excessive wear, or the rotor body and cover gasket between the cover is damaged, or the nozzle is loose, will cause the rotor chamber leakage pressure, decrease the rotor rotational driving force, the rotor speed down or not rotate.


4.  Nozzle hole deformation. After a long period of use of centrifugal oil filter, the nozzle hole will become large because of wear and the hole is irregular, resulting in changes in the direction of the oil column, reducing the speed of the rotor.


Therefore, in the maintenance or overhaul of centrifugal oil filter, do not use wire or awl tool to clear the nozzle hole to prevent nozzle hole injury or deformation.


The rotor is not running smoothly and is accompanied by vibration

1. Deformation of rotor cover. Most of them are caused by collision or excessive force during the disassembly and assembly, and must be replaced with the rotor when the deformation is severe.


2. Impurities that are separated and adhered to the inner wall of the rotor are unevenly distributed. The rotor can be decomposed, and the adhesive on the inner wall of the rotor is scraped with bamboo pieces, so as to make the rotor run in balance.


3. Bearing wear, clearance clearance is too large. In general, when the gap is greater than 0.15mm, new bearings must be replaced.


4. Some of the rotor body and rotor cover are marked, and the two mark shall be aligned when assembled. The damage will be damaged when installed at random, resulting in vibration when the rotor rotates.


Filter efficiency is low

Mainly due to the centrifugal oil filter is not timely maintenance and maintenance, the technical condition worse, appeared in the inner wall of the rotor adhesion is too thick, the nozzle hole and filter and oil inlet hole blocking, the rotor speed decreased, affect the centrifugal oil filter filtration efficiency and filtration effect. In addition, if diesel engine oil too dirty, even if the centrifugal oil filter can work well, will be slack. In this regard, replace the oil, and the centrifugal oil filter for maintenance.
