The function of the excavator filter is to remove dusts from the hydraulic oil, or the fuel circuit. In this way, it can prevent the equipment constituting the circuit from worn. The excavator filter contains a piece of paper or plastic filter film for capturing contaminants mixed with the liquid as the liquid flows through the filter. Due to the filtration of the film, the gap between the filter units allows the liquid to pass through the unfiltered unit, so that it can avoid assembly or improper installation.
The Performance of the Excavator Filter
Filter performance is usually based on filter accuracy and value to be determined. The filtration accuracy is determined by the filter performance test and is expressed in micrometers such as 10 [mu] m or 20 [mu] m. In addition, the "° 10 = 1.5" rating indicates that the number of particles 10 μm or more upstream of the filter is divided by 1.5 in the same size as the downstream filter. In other words, the higher the value indicates the greater the amount of particles captured, the higher the performance the filter is.
High capture rate, that is, the ability to remove large amounts of contaminants, also means that the filtration membrane is relatively fast. Therefore, increasing the surface area of the filter can extend the service life of the filter, at the same time it won’t affect the filter capture performance.
