【Meiruier Filter】Maintenance and Fault Diagnosis of Oil Filters

2026-02-02 View:

The oil filter, through precise filtration and intelligent bypass protection mechanisms, consistently supplies clean oil to the engine, serving as the "purifier" and "guardian" of the engine's healthy operation. Its core value lies in continuously purifying the oil, minimizing engine wear, extending the engine's service life, and maintaining its optimal performance.

Replacement cycle:
Follow the maintenance recommendations of the car manufacturer. Typically, replace it every 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers or every 6 to 12 months (whichever comes first).
Under harsh driving conditions (such as congestion, dusty environments, short-distance travel, or extreme temperatures), the replacement interval should be appropriately shortened.

Signs of failure:
The oil pressure warning light flashes: possibly due to severe clogging of the oil filter, which prevents the bypass valve from opening effectively. Immediate parking and inspection are required.
Severe dents, bulges, or oil leaks in the appearance of the oil filter indicate damage or seal failure, requiring immediate replacement.
Increased engine noise and power loss: may be caused by oil filter failure leading to insufficient oil pressure or poor lubrication.
