The China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, was founded in 1957 and is held in Guangzhou twice a year in spring and autumn. At present, it is a comprehensive international trade event with the longest history, the largest scale, the most comprehensive types of commodities, the largest number of buyers, the widest distribution of countries and regions, the best trading effect and the best reputation in China. So far, 134 sessions have been successfully held.
The 134th Canton Fair reached a new high, expanding the exhibition area to 1.55 million square meters, and about 29,000 high-quality domestic and foreign enterprises participated offline, with turnover reaching 22.3 billion US dollars. Overseas buyers from 229 countries and regions participated online and offline, including nearly 200,000 offline overseas buyers and 7.89 million cumulative visitors on the online platform, which integrated online and offline activities, effectively promoting Sino-foreign economic and trade cooperation and exchanges and global trade development.
In order to expand imports and promote trade balance, since the 101st session, the Canton Fair has set up import exhibitions to help international enterprises expand business opportunities in China and around the world. After 34 sessions of development, it has attracted more than 17,000 sub-overseas enterprises from more than 100 countries and regions to participate in the exhibition, including many high-quality national and regional pavilions and global well-known enterprises. A total of 650 enterprises from 43 countries and regions participated in the 134th Canton Fair Import Exhibition.
The 135th Spring Canton Fair will be grandly opened in Guangzhou Pazhou Island Canton Fair Exhibition Hall on April 15-19, 2024.
