Every excellent truck driver is always omnipotent, and truck repairs are no problem.
The oil filter is one of the commonly used maintenance parts for trucks and needs to be replaced regularly. If you can solve it yourself, it will save time, effort, and money! Below are several steps to replace the truck oil filter. However, if you are not yet proficient in operating it, it is still recommended to hire professional personnel to replace the oil filter.
1. Unscrew the oil drain plug and use a drain basin to drain all the old engine oil from the engine. Apply engine oil evenly on the new oil filter gasket for later use;
2. After the oil is completely drained, install the oil drain plug, remove the old oil filter, and then screw the new oil filter freely onto the oil filter seat by hand;
3. Use a torque wrench to tighten the oil filter according to the torque specified in the maintenance manual. The sealing ring of the oil filter is made of special material. Do not use too much force when tightening to avoid difficulties in disassembly;
4. Clean the oil stains around the oil filter;
5. Add engine oil, tighten the oil cap after adding, and check the oil level.
6. Start the engine to idle and accelerate for a period of time, check for leaks, stop for a few minutes, and then recheck the oil level. If there is no oil leakage, it indicates that the oil filter has been replaced.
